Upcoming traffic marshall courses

Cycling SA have organised two upcoming sessions for corner marshall accreditation: The first is Saturday 24th March at 10am and the second is Monday 26th March at 7pm.

One thing that we (and all clubs) always need for any on-road event is more traffic marshalls.

PACC particularly needs traffic marshalls for our time trials and for our major open event, the Hector Fletcher / John Lockwood road races.

Additionally, once you are accredited you can help your club earn funds. Cycling SA will pay PACC when we have a member volunteer at a CSA run event i.e. Cyclosportif, Team Series, State Road Championships.

This is a simple course that takes about half an hour and is free to Cycling SA members. If you have someone that would like to do the course but is not currently a CSA member they will need to organise for a minimum of a Platinum ($25) membership before they do the course.

Please consider doing the accreditation and helping out as a corner marshall sometime. All of the racing you do depends on volunteers and its up to everyone to do a little bit here and there to keep it all going!
The ideal number of bikes is one... I just can't decide which one.

That's great Chris. I think you just need to show up on the night, maybe shoot an email to Cycling SA so that they know there's some interest: sa.info@cycling.org.au

The information from CSA didn't include a location, I'm pretty sure it would be the Superdrome upstairs room, I'm awaiting confirmation...

From the Cycling SA website:

7pm Monday 26 March.

Both courses go for no longer than 1 hour and are delivered by our great friends from the South Australia Police. At this stage the courses will be at the Super-Drome.
