John was a club identity with a positive outlook that was infectious and he was a motivation to all who met him. John will be sorely missed but his enthusiasm for cycling and life will live on.
Rest in peace John.
In heaven there are no head winds and no punctures.
Peace and love to Johns friends and family.

I too knew John before cycling as my wife worked with his daughter and we were good friends, but had drifted apart as life moves on. Then about 4 years ago when I turned up for my first race with the Vets found John there and it was good actually knowing someone there and full of advice.
You will be sorely missed and our thoughts with Di and family.

RIP John.
My deepest condolences to Di and John's family at this sad time.
I have never met a more genuine person than John.
I used to love commentating Johns' races at Edwardstown and without a doubt Nige and I would always get to say "and here comes big Johnie Lockwood around the outside" Edwardstown will never feel the same without him there....
You and your efforts to cycling will be missed!

John was one of those rare people that leaves a lasting impression. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
I only hope John knew how much he was appreciated and respected and how thankful we were for his contribution to our club and the cycling community.
Condolences to Di and the Lockwood family.
