Traffic marshall accreditation

Genine from Cycling SA is organising a Traffic Marshall course at the Adelaide Superdrome. The course entails listening to a roughly 15 minute presentation, so it will not take up much time.

Right now she is looking for expressions of interest, and for people to let her know what day and time would suit them. If you are interested can you please send an email to genine.hallandal@cycling.org.au with your preferred time. Or post here and I will forward it on.

It would be great for as many PACC'ers as possible do this course!!

Without traffic marshalls we cannot run events on open roads. Even if you only intend to help out once per year, you need accreditation, so you need to do this course!

If it can be arranged on a Saturday, then perhaps we could incorporate a group ride afterwards....?
the best way to start the day is with a large serve of pain for breakfast

That's my thinking too Sam -- make it late or early morning and have a group ride before/after!

Hello everyone,

Genine from CSA has organised two dates for the traffic marshall accreditation course:

Monday 15th & 29th November at 7pm at the Superdrome, upstairs in the VIP room (come in the front entrance and go up the stairs).

You only need to attend one session, and it will take about 30 mins!

If you can make either of these dates can you please let Genine know: genine.hallandal@cycling.org.au

Once again, I hope that as many PACC members as possible go along to this course. If you race on the road, then you depend upon traffic marshalls to make that possible!

Reminder: Don't forget to email Genine if you can make either date (or both!)

This course won't take long, and is a necessary requirement even if you only intend to be a marshall once a year!

Do we have a register of the PACC people with accreditation?
Two wheels good, four wheels bad. In a pinch, three will do...

We've got a pretty good idea of everyone who is accredited, there might be a few club members who are accredited that we don't know about.

I'd like to make up a complete list after this course has been run.

Reminder that the first accreditation session is tonight at 7pm in the VIP room of the Superdrome.

(By the way, you can show up even if you haven't registered your interest... the more the merrier!)
