REMINDER- Please don't litter

Yesterday I competed in the state road race championships and was disappointed to see a rider in my category dispose of a gel wrapper by throwing it on the side of the road. I was extra disappointed as it was a fellow Port Adelaide CC member. When I mentioned it to the rider the next time I rolled through, I was given a “she’ll be right mate” type response.

I cannot help but be insulted by this type of behavior for several reasons:
1) Most importantly, it is not hard to work out that your rubbish ends up in undesirable places (creeks and rivers).
2) This type of behaviour looks bad not only for Cycling SA, PACC and the racing community, but also the general cycling community.

Please think about what you’re doing and carry your rubbish with you whilst riding and racing.

It isn’t that much of an inconvenience.

Good post Ben. I can't believe there are grown adults who think its okay to throw their crap on the ground...
The ideal number of bikes is one... I just can't decide which one.

Looks like the fines were being handed out like candy at a CX Little Crossers race!?! $650 worth in the Mens Masters races alone!!
Once you've had track, you'll never go back!

Two wheels good, four wheels bad. In a pinch, three will do...
