Cool.

I understand that stab master is arranging some kind of welcome back parade?

The preference being, as I understand it, that he would convene a bunch of people wearing yellow (preferably old challenge tour or fake TDF maillot jaune) jerseys and tinsel reindeer antlers to meet Arthur every day at the hotel entrance and follow him everywhere he goes. The idea would be to get as many people involved as possible so he will be Inviting the entire membership of Adelaide Cyclists to participate.

Direct all enquiries to Timmy. Feel the Rush.

couldn't we do something where we can raise awareness for cancer at the same time?

Well that is really a given.

The sport of cycling is about raising awareness for cancer and yellow is the colour of cancer awareness.

However it is possible there are a few people in the world that are not aware of cancer, therefore, rather than the tinsel reindeer antlers, all participants will have cigarettes zip tied to their helmets.

I will then work my way through the yellow peleton taking and smoking all the cigarettes from peoples helmets throughout the day in an act of martyrdom.

Should we schedule a training ride for Rageman to practice to ensure that he can execute his act of martyrdom when it really matters?

I am wondering if cigars would be better than ciggies. Surely they are more Euro, and possibly have a smaller drag coefficient?

Dan, could we undertake comparative analysis of a random sample of ciggies and cigars to provide robust empirical evidence for this hypothesis?

At the end of the day, it's all academic...

Feeling the Rush already.

FDJ-BigMat team for Santos Tour Down Under:

Sandy Casar (FRA)
William Bonnet (FRA)
Arnaud Courteille (FRA)
Frederic Guesdon (FRA)
Yauheni Hutarovich (BLR)
Jeremy Roy (FRA)
Jussi Veikkanen (FIN)

So, no Vichot this year...
I suppose he'll start the season at the "Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise" (France).

If I was the sponsor I would want Vichot in the team if he was fit, it made world news last time... Besides the fact that he's a really good rider.

I agree. I think it would have been really nice that Vichot returned to Australia.
Marc Madiot, the head of his team, insists that the riders are close to their fans ("a fan of cycling should be able to drink a beer once a year with his favorite champion").
Yet Madiot has not selected Vichot for the race. This is contradictory!

But it is also normal. Teams want to win most races, and therefore UCI points. So Madiot chose riders who can win a stage (Hutarovich), or be well placed overall (Casar).
