Awesome ride by Dan in B grade, that headwind was tough.

Congrats Dan. I dont get it though, I'm positive we passed u struggling on the side on the road. We got passed by one of the Korean girls too, wasnt she leading?

I guess not, how did the grade let u stay away the whole race?
Don't buy upgrades; ride up grades.

Hmmmm you did pass me once or twice I think, and I'm told one of the Korean girls was off the front of the group (but behind me) at one point.

From what I hear, the group didn't really get organised to chase me down - so I was very lucky. I have no doubt they could've caught me if they'd wanted to! It also helped when A-grade got in between me and them, and when I eventually got ahead by more than one length of the straight.... out of sight, out of mind!

it's always impressive watching a solo breakaway like that work ... but what's even more impressive about Dan's is he did a solo effort like that from the get-go after a pretty brutal saturday ride.....what's your recovery secrets Dan??

also thought BarnDogg's 2nd in A grade is worth noting given the pre-race double tyre flat fiasco and having to race on a borrowed front gatorskined training wheel :notworthy:

Dan!

Who's the black private dick
That's a cycling machine to all the chicks?
(Dan!)
You're damn right

Who is the man
That would risk his neck for his brother man?
(Dan!)
Can ya dig it?

Who's the cat that won't drop out
When there's hubbards all about
(Dan!)
Right on

You see this cat Dan is a bad mother--
(Shut your mouth)
But I'm talkin' about Dan
(Then we can dig it)

He's a complicated man
But no one understands him but his powertap.
(Dan S)

LOL! Oh man... too much....!

Ben - I just remembered that the second time you passed me was just after I finished and I was just doing a cool down lap, which is probably why I looked like I was struggling.

Aaron - no recovery secrets I'm afraid. Just ate lots of food after the Saturday ride, no magic potions or powders....

Damn, I wish I was able to be there. It really must have been an awesome victory, I mean, it even has it's own theme song. Well done Dan!

Alex, that was an amazing documentary moment missed by the sounds of it.

Tim, clearly you have just volunteered to be the music/ sound track direcotor for the doco. [/quote]
