PACC Time Trial Outer Harbour 28 December 2008

22 riders took part in the PACC Time Trail at Outer Harbor on Sunday 28 December. The weather was fine but the wind was gusty and from the side for most of the course. Tim Roe set a time which was the fastest for the course since PACC has been conducting time trial at Outer Harbor. Only 3 seconds separated Tim and Kevin Harnett.
Darren Winturlich was 18 seconds faster than Jackie Prentice in B Grade.
David Nicholls and David Renshaw, two newcomers to racing and the club, took first and second places in C Grade.

I think that would be the fastest time recorded in a t/t at the Harbour, as far as I can see in Vet championships, masters games etc the fastest previous time was 23 47. Apart from Port Adelaide there have been no open t/t on this course ( I think!) Nice ride Tim, Kevin and Andrew. Worth noting Tim had no skin suit, aero helmet or wheels, just Ksyriums and normal race kit! Thanx Port Adelaide.

Have heard that Craig Sheldon has ridden a low 23 minute, about 23.10 in a vets club championship, so there is something to aim for.

For those who lot lost on the way to the start (and even lost during the race! ) I have prepared a map of the course here:
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/PA ... ial-Course

As for the course record - wait till Chris Martin gets back from Nationals... :?:

Thanks gemma for the Bikely map.
BTW there were two printed copies of a course map displayed at the sign-on desk.
