2011/2012 Summer time trials

Sorry for the wait but here are the much anticipated dates for summer time trials:

Sunday 6th November
Sunday 22nd January
Saturday 18th February
Sunday 4th March

Every event will be based at Outer Harbour, sign-on on is at the LeFevre community centre, 541 Victoria Rd, Osbourne.

UPDATE: Parking has been drastically reduced at the community centre, so you may need to park on Victoria Rd. Please don't park on the race course.

17.5 km course: CLICK HERE FOR THE MAP.

The turnaround is at the roundabout just before Largs Bay jetty - you will know its the turnaround point because there will be a corner marshall stationed there! If you see a corner marshall, then its time to do a U-turn! The marshall will attempt to stop traffic entering the roundabout from the Southern entrance, but it is up to you to negotiate the roundabout safely and legally.

Sign-on before 7:15am, first rider will leave at 7:30am.

Entry fee: $10 seniors / $5 juniors

Prizes for
* Fastest overall
* Fastest woman
* Fastest aged 35+
* Fastest aged 50+
* Fastest non-aero rider (no aerobars, disc wheels, or aero-helmets)

Junior prizes will depend on entries on the day, and a shorter course option may be offered for young riders.

Teams TT

We will be allowing teams of up to 4 riders to enter. There will be a separate prize for the fastest team on the day. Time taken from the last rider across the line.

To enter the teams category, you MUST pre-enter by emailing daniel@pacc.org.au by the day before, 12pm at the latest.

Volunteers

We will need volunteers to help! A list of jobs is below:

* Course set up (can do this before your race)
* Sign-on / timing
* Corner marshall (Accredited)
* Holder / timing

All volunteers will receive a free race entry which can be used at the next TT or at a Cyclocross race etc. If you help set up the course (and packup) and still race, you will get free entry on the day - bonus!

Email daniel@pacc.org.au if you would like to apply for any of these positions :wink:

Graham, you're going to need to see if they'll allow you to enter a unicycle in the Rendition Homes Cycling Series.... http://sa.cycling.org.au/event.asp?ID=2301
the best way to start the day is with a large serve of pain for breakfast
The Norton Summit time trial is only for the Rendition Homes Team.
So, that would be a no. (And wtf is with the quote feature not working on this forum?)

I am happy to join a team that needs riders - just as long at it allows me to contribute / last the pace :-)

The first TT is coming up in just under 2 weeks.

It would be great if we could lock in a corner marshall - anyone keen to help out?

Thanks Bec - yeah for this one we need accreditation so that you can legally control traffic. If you're still able to help out anyway, an extra pair of hands and eyes wouldn't go astray at the start/finish.
