Make sure you get your Transponders if you don't have one.

is there any way to nominate (and get a transponder) if I don't have a CSA login? I've only just joined up in the last month .. </confused_newbie>

Give it another week and hopefully we will be able to email you your login by then *reads manual again*
the ideal number of bikes is one more than you currently have

Sportif and transponder

CLP,
Two methods of getting a transponder.
Go through the CASA website on the righthand side list is purchase transponder ... or
ring CASA on the number provided and pay for it over the phone.
It will be waiting for you at the start of the first round along with plenty of others.
I was advised to get there early !!! To sign on and fit !!

Same with license contact the office by the email provided and ask politely about your license, takes a little while for them to get back to you but it was worth making the initial contact so they know what event you are getting ready for.

Cheers
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've had a mechanical :D

The transponder takes about 2mins absolute max to fit it to your bike, unless you're a klutz and you cable-tie your spokes to your forks, then you spend the next ten minutes frantically looking for pliers to remove said cable ties, then spend anothr five minutes looking for more cable ties.

I just can't believe how many people cable tie their spokes to the fork!

Trappy

I might not be able to make the start line for Round 1 because I'll probably be up to my neck with CSA official duties. Immediately following the Cyclo Sportif on the same circuit will be Round 7 of the Rendition Homes Series (44km Team Time Trial) and I'm the Race Director.

My son is still keen as mustard to ride with your PACC team in the Cyclo Sportif and he'll be there.

For info of PACCers we have thus far 26 teams entered.........200 riders!

Cheers
Gaz

Getting there early.

Okay, I should have separated this from the other comment.

There will be quite a few people getting transponders and as Trapcycle said there will be 200+ riders signing on plus the people doing the race afterwards hanging around.

Therefore it was suggested to get there early to avoid the queue.

Hope that makes more sense than my last post.
I'll have spare cables ties if anyone needs them !!!
