Hell on Wheels - TdF Film

Hey!
An old cycling buddy of mine has pointed me towards a Tour de France documentary film called Hell on Wheels. It was filmed during the 2003 edition and mostly follows the T-Mobile team, so it is not a "Lance Inc." film.

More details: http://www.german-cinema.de/archive/fil ... lm_id=1223

It will be showing for about a week at the Mercury cinema from Sat 21 to Sat 28 May; 7:30 pm sessions with some 5:00pm sessions on the weekend days.

Apparently it was a sell-out at the Adelaide film festival earlier this year.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I could see if we can piggy back on someone else's group booking.

Cheers

Wouldn't mind seeing this at some stage ... but I've been saying that for a while.

I have a lot on my 'to do' list ... and it doesn't shrink!!!

been out for a few years

ive got a copy of it sitting in my lounge room

some really nice footage. its fairly long and your non-cycling friends may not enjoy it for the duration

if anyone wants a borrow, let me know. it must be returned though

i also 'had' the CSC one called 'overcoming' which was good but not as good as hell on wheels. loaned that one out never to be seen again, the culprit denied ever borrowing it  OFF THE XMAS LIST!

Alrighty then. Grab your time machine and let's go - back to 2005!

I think DVD is the more practical option now.

BTW: If memory serves me right, I think the "old cycling buddy" I mentioned was a pre-PACC version of John Lockwood. Now I'm in trouble.

Haha. I got very confused reading this thread. Doesn't help that it starts out on May 13 2005, then seemlessly switches to May 14 2008. Were you playing a trick on us Pete?

Oh yeah, and its an awesome film, I've got it on DVD but lent it to a friend a while back.... hopefully he's still got it!

if you manage to locate it, I'm sure we could assist you in backing it up. I also liked "the flying scotsman" for a bit of rainy sunday entertainment.
cheers
